Our History
David Mesa established Living Rock Custom Shower Doors, Inc. (LRCS, Inc.) following a distinguished career of nearly 17 years with one of the largest shower door, closet shelving, mirrors, and bath accessories companies on the East Coast. Embarking on this entrepreneurial journey in 2017 from his dining room, Mesa initiated the business by reconnecting with former clients, leading to the leasing of a warehouse space in Middletown, NY. By 2022, Mesa had solidified his presence by purchasing the same building, marking a pivotal milestone in the company's evolution. As of 2024, LRCS, Inc. thrives as a reputable entity, specializing in the installation of shower doors, closet shelving, mirrors and bath accessories, and various Division 10 Specialties across the Northeast, with ambitious expansion plans on the horizon. Our customers range from midrise/low-rise projects, national tract builder communities and homeowner renovations along with commercial work.
Mesa's story is one of overcoming obstacles and seizing opportunities, rooted in his immigrant experience from Colombia in 1998. From humble beginnings assembling cabinets to leading installation teams for glass doors and closets, Mesa's passion for craftsmanship and dedication to delivering exceptional service have been the cornerstones of his success. The founding of LRCS in 2017 not only marked the birth of a business but also symbolized a commitment to building on a solid foundation, just like the rock referenced in the biblical parable "When the rains came, the house stood sturdy because it was built on a rock." Armed with determination and minimal resources, Mesa leveraged his industry connections and credibility to establish his venture.
